Foundational stage(NURSERY TO CLASS II )

Each child embarks on an educational journey and discovers a lot about the environment. The main aim of our Foundational stage education is to help each child attain optimal perceptual and motor coordination levels, cognitive and socio-emotional levels as the basis for readiness for school education and life in the society. The starting ground is the uniqueness of the child, active learning and finally integration in a group which is done in a nurturing, happy and safe environment in our school. The learning approach is based on the objectives of early childhood education programs that includes creative expression, literacy, numeracy, self and social awareness and physical skills. Methodology used is experiential in nature. At Credo World School Dahanu ,each day is planned so as to reflect a balance of individual and group activities, outdoor and indoor activities, active and quiet activities, free and guided activities to foster all aspects of development.

EVALUATION SYSTEM

Children will be assessed on a subject specific concept on a weekly basis upon completion of a topic. The School has the following system of the assessment.
Pre Primary - Parents are an important part of these fundamental years, and are encouraged to take an active role in their child's education and learning experience.There is continuous observation and monitoring of still throughout the year. The students are observed on a regular basis for skill development and the evaluation is recorded on their speaking, listening, language, numeracy, gross motor, fine motor, socio emotional skills. Physical wellbeing is observed through well planned sports activities.

The learning pedagogy is integrated with

Preparatory Stage(CLASS: III TO V)

In the Primary School in CREDO WORLD SCHOOL Dahanu, Palghar the focus is on encouraging inquiry, exploration and on inculcating confidence in key learning skills like – reading, writing, listening, speaking, information technology capability, problem-solving, observation and measurement. Children are encouraged to speak and perform at assemblies, concerts, drama productions to gain confidence in their ability to communicate to a wider audience. We recognize that children at this level are active, curious, experimental and imaginative. Each child is an individual with his or her own unique abilities, interests, aspirations and expectations. Therefore, our curriculum in these classes is structured to encourage and motivate them to become self-confident, self-reliant and self-disciplined learners. Athletic, fine and gross motor skills are majorly developed as students participate in the PE programmes, Club activities and extracurricular activities.

  • Primary section class I-II : The school follows the vehicle testing of Concept through concept reviews. That will be a written block test as well where constructs will be tested collectively. Weight age of all the test conducted all your round will determine the progress of the child

  • Classes III -V: ASSESSMENT PATTERN (Class III to V)

    • Subject enrichment - Assignment will be given on Fridays.

    • ANotebooks - regularity of work done, neatness, maintenance

Rules of Assessment:
  • Attendance is compulsory for all the assessment held during the year. No test will be conducted on a later date.

  • A minimum of 85% attendance is required for a student to qualify and sit for Half Yearly and Annual Assessment conducted in school.

  • Students who are late for assessment will not be given extra time to answer the question paper.

  • No student should use unfair means in any form. Even helping any other student to indulge in unfair means will result in strict action being taken.

  • All students are expected to maintain strict discipline during assessment time.

Middle School Stage(CLASS VI TO VIII)

In the Middle School in Credo World School, Dahanu, Palghar our approaches to learning emphasize the interdisciplinary instruction, exploration, practical application and cooperative learning. Learning opportunities are presented through a variety of instructional methods. Instruction in the middle school places emphasis on the continued acquisition of basic skills and higher order thinking skills and acknowledges the importance of experiential learning alongside classroom learning. Learning activities generally begin in areas familiar to the learner and lead to new areas of interest thereby equipping them with skills for the future.

Secondary School Stage(CLASS IX TO X)

This is the culminating stage of secondary education wherein students are prepared for the Board exams and transition to the next phase of their educational journey. By this stage students become independent learners and take the responsibility of setting their targets and achieving them. They are trained to acquire Cognitive excellence. Students are encouraged to participate in a host of co-curricular activities including exhibitions, elocution, debates, quizzes, essay writing and so on to enhance self-awareness, explore innate potential and attain mastery over their competencies. They participate in Dance, Drama, Art & Craft , Western and Indian Music, Yoga and other Intra & Inter School activities. They organise and participate in Inter-house cultural and sports events, thus developing leadership skills and team spirit. Community service is an integral part of the learning, with students actively involved in various service projects. Our Curriculum also aims to imbibe the 21st century learning and life skills alongside inculcating values that foster cultural learning and international understanding in an interdependent society.
